SUPERMAN INTERROGATION SCENE REMAKE - MAIN SEQUENCES
Screenshots we took
We were given a task to remake the main sequences of the Superman Man of steel interrogation scene in which we have to recreate the main scene e.g. getting right camera angles. It was a challenge as we had to group with other people, luckily Demin's group offered to help us out for some scenes
Script
Lois Lane: You let them handcuff you?
Clark Kent: Wouldn’t be much of a surrender if I resisted. And if it makes them feel more secure, then… then all the better for it.
Lois Lane: What’s the ‘S’ stand for?
Clark Kent: It’s not an ‘S’. On my world it means ‘hope’.
Lois Lane: Well, here it’s an ‘S’. How about…Sup…
Dr. Emil Hamilton: Uh, sir. Hi. Uh, my name is Dr…
Clark Kent: Emil Hamilton, I know. I can see your ID tag in your breast pocket, along with a half eaten roll of Wint-O-Green Life Savers. I can also see the squad of soldiers in the next room, preparing that tranquilizer agent of yours. You won’t need it.
Dr. Emil Hamilton: Sir, you…you can’t expect us to not take precautions. You could be carrying some kind of alien pathogen.
Clark Kent: I’ve been here for thirty-three years, doctor, haven’t infected anyone yet.
General Swanwick: That you know of. We have legitimate security concerns. Now, you’ve revealed your identity to Miss Lane over there. Why don’t you do the same with us?
Clark Kent: Let’s put our cards on the table, General.
[Clark rises, easily breaking his handcuffs as he pulls his hands apart, and starts walking toward the two-way mirror]
Clark Kent: You’re scared of me because you can’t control me. You don’t, and you never will, but that doesn’t mean I’m your enemy.
General Swanwick: Then who is? Zod?
Clark Kent: That’s what I’m worried about.
General Swanwick: Be that as it may, I’ve been given orders to hand you over to him.
Clark Kent: Do what you have to do, General.

Action Adventure MoodBoard
Word CLoud
This is a word cloud i created for my group, the genre we chose/action Adventure.
As you can see in the word cloud these are things got to do with action adventure (codes and convention) things you expect to see in these films.

-
i got these words from wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_fiction
After i copied the text from the website i pasted it onto a website called Worditout. this website allows you to create a word cloud by choosing important words for you from the text.
This is our mood board we created. As you can see we chose different action adventure comedy films. A film you can see is rush hour. This film is very popular as it has 3 elements of genre and we chose the same element. Rush hour acheives it main goal to make the audience laugh feel exitment in the fights and chasing scenes making the audience at the edge of their seats.
Pitch
As you can see in the powerpoint we have planned out our pitch in each slide, each of our group members have been assigned different tasks.
I think our pitch went well as we thought of a original title and it fitted our narrative. We spoke about our mood board and spoke about examples of different films that fit our action adventure comedy. Our narrative was was humorous and believable to our class.

Ebi: We didn't talk about the technology we are going to use for example phones, cars, camera and traffic lights.

research/profiling
Sound research
We made a Survey and sent it our using email, the survey was created on Survey monkey, and this survey was sent out to our target audience; our target audience is aged 15-18 years of age. We created this survey as it would help get an understanding of what our target audience like to see and what they don't like specifically. In our survey we asked:

Do you enjoy action adventure/movies?

What is your favourite comedic actor?

Have you watched any of the hangover movies or superbad?

We asked these questions to get a brief understanding of our audience and they have said that they mostly enjoy action/adventure movies, and their favourite actor is Kevin hart which is not surprising as he is popular in Comedy
StoryBoard
1. The first shot is a extreme long shot the main character sleeping

2. The second shot is a long shot of the rent man waiting for the character to open the door

3. The third shot is a mid shot of the character panicking

Crowded area - When we are making the chase scene we will make sure no one takes it seriously as it will look like a victim is being chased down. Make sure the area is not crowded

Fake gun - Make sure the police does not take the gun serious so we have to make sure we are not using it near the police or people.

Fake Drugs - Make sure we use the fake drugs when police is not around so we don't get arrested/checked

Location Scouting
Our initial plan was to shoot our scenes at these locations. Haggerston station will be the station where the prince will arrive. this is when he will be taken to his room. the room will be untidy and will subvert stereotypes that a prince should live in a clean and expensive environment. finally, the street is where he will be chased.
Film Mistakes
This is the first scene we filmed, and to be honest it had bits of error in it. The first shot was meant to be a pan but its went bad as the camera was shaking. We planned on improving that by re filming it using a tripod. Another thing that wasn't good was our mise en scene. the main character Prince Ali was wearing school close which made it not suitable for a Arab prince. Another mise en scene was Austin who was wearing school clothes which made him seem not a rent man but a school boy waiting for a friend.

Another thing we could've improved on was adding more object in the first pan shot scene, this could have been something that signifies the Arab prince. We could have certainly used
Film Crew
Second Try Filming- UN-edited
As you can see we re filmed our opening scene and we improved a lot of things. We changed most of our mise en scene. Firstly we change our props and what we wear. As you can see the main character Ali is now wearing a suitable Arab clothes which he signifies hes country as a prince and the rent man is wearing a coat. In the first pan shot you see props of: piggy-bank, a scarf which is part of Arabic clothing, gaming controller, also some games which is stereotypical for a Arab to play games. These are something our group was proud of.

EBI we fix our camera shots because we cut too quickly and fix more of our dialogue as it was no in sync To improve we will re-film the coversation scene betwwen the prince and hes friend also .
Our Logo analysis

As you can see this is our logo, we have chosen a light bulb because it signifies logic, it denotes science of reasoning to use. We have created this using a website because our production company is logic and we like to make things simplistic to our reasoning. We used the color green because it denotes happiness and ready to 'go'.

Sound research
In the beginning of the scene we used a funny soundtrack to show that the main character is clumsy. Then we used a second funny soundtrack to show that the character is a joke when he packs up. The third song we used is BASHY Kidulthood To Adulthood Lyrics, this was used when the rent man was coming to the house, this shows the rent man is not a approachable man and he is quite fearsome.
